We believe the scriptures teach that sanctification is a process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of his holiness; it is progressive, and by the continuous operation of the Holy Ghost, the justified sinner is delivered from the power of sin and is able to live a holy life.
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17).
“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work” (2 Tim. 2:21). Reference: 1 Corinthians 1:30, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, Hebrews 13:12
